Biography

I work for the University of Colorado Boulder ASSETT (Arts & Sciences Support of Education Through Technology) department as an Innovation Catalyst. As the Catalyst, I guide the development of our emergent Innovation Incubator — a safe, resourced space where the Arts & Sciences College community can grow their active learning ideas. Previously, I served as the Teaching, Learning, and Technology Initiatives Coordinator for ASSETT in 2018-19 while completing my Master’s degree in Information and Communication Technology for Development (ICTD) at CU Boulder’s Atlas Institute. I returned to the University at mid-life of a 20-year career in the nonprofit and social impact sectors where I worked primarily in health and human services. Over those years, I collaborated with countless (and incredible!) social justice partners on projects spanning K12 comprehensive sexual health education curriculum design to cross sector (nonprofit + for profit) peer learning group facilitation. It was my recent work as a feasibility researcher for a Learning Management System project for a state wide nonprofit organization that inspired me to pivot my career to technology for social good. I am passionate about enabling a sense of ownership — of learning, programs, projects, and more — in the people with whom I work. For CU Boulder students, in particular, I hope that this will open a pathway to success, well-being, and access to the resources they need to live a fulfilling life.
