Bradley Hoover
Chief Information Officer, Texas A&M University System – RELLIS Campus
Bradley Hoover is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at The Texas A&M University System’s RELLIS Campus, a collaborative ecosystem built to foster advanced research, technology development, testing and evaluation, higher education, and hands-on career training. Mr. Hoover provides leadership for Information Technology (IT) strategy development and implementation throughout the campus, collaborating with both technology and non-technology leaders to ensure RELLIS supports A&M System goals as specified by the Chancellor. Mr. Hoover was appointed CIO of the new RELLIS Campus in 2019, where he is charged with the task of transforming the campus into a new, innovative, educational and research campus. The campus hosts several educational institutions within and outside of the A&M System and is home to 8 state agencies and dozens of government and private industry partners. Today Brad is transforming the campus into an epicenter of innovation that has no equal in the country by implementing an entirely new network and an outdoor, private 5G testbed that will cover over 700 acres.
He has held positions within the Texas A&M System for 19 years, joining the organization as a software developer and progressing within the System from one innovator role to the next. Before devoting his career to the System, Mr. Hoover was employed in several IT roles within the retail lumber industry. He holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Texas A&M University, as well as a number of industry certifications.
