Biography

Brandon Ermita is the Technical Support Analyst/Manager of the Department of East Asian Studies, Princeton-in-Beijing (China), and Princeton-in-Ishikawa (Japan). He appreciates the critical need for professional and accredited technologists to be embedded within academic departments to consult with faculty and students while advising university offices on enhancing opportunities when in the classroom and while deployed abroad. As an IT professional (CISSP, CAPM) he works closely with Princeton's faculty and senior management in managing operations and technical projects, identifying cross-border issues, and navigating cybersecurity risks -- while remembering the University's core mission of great teaching and research. IT professionals can often get enamored with technology, but effective managers need to keep the primary focus on our organizations' INFORMATION needs.
