Biography

Brent Whiting is Director of Information Systems for Academic Computing at Temple University.  After graduating from Temple, Brent was hired by the university to provide technical support and leadership to the School of Environmental Design.  After leaving Temple for six years to support and develop IT solutions for a prestigious Landscape Architecture firm in Philadelphia, Brent returned to Temple in 2014 to accept his current position.  In addition to his role as Director, Brent serves as the technical lead for the university’s Accessible Technology Initiative.  Brent’s inclusive approach to technology and accessibility for the university community is greatly influenced by his experience in working with students, faculty, and professionals with disparities in technical proficiency.  Brent Whiting holds a B.S. degree in Landscape Architecture and has been an adjunct faculty for the Landscape Architecture and Horticulture Department, since 2002.
