Brian Christopher DuPree

Biography

Brian Christopher DuPree was born in 1978 near St. Petersburg, Florida. His talent was recognized early, when at age ten he won a prize for portraiture, competing against high school students. At twelve, he attended a summer art program at the Museum of Fine Arts Florida. At the University of South Florida College of the Arts, he majored in Painting, receiving his Master of Fine Arts. In the early 2000, after finishing university, Brian Christopher DuPree traveled across the country, searching for his inner inspiration. For several years, he mostly concentrated on the human form, drawing from life. After this exploratory cross-country trip, he decided to move to Athens, Georgia. There he quickly blended into the vibrant art scene.
