Biography

Brian is currently serving as the Deputy CIO at St. Lawrence University.  His career in higher-ed IT spans over 28 years during which he held a number of differing roles encompassing nearly every aspect of IT services. Whether assisting with line printers on Big Iron, installing copper and fiber optic LAN infrastructure, administering UNIX and Linux servers, designing and building a state-of-the-art datacenter in a historical landmark or leading the charge on information security, Brian’s breadth and depth of technical experiences enables him to lead with authenticity.  Embodying many of the principles of servant leadership, Brian strives to ensure his teams always have the tools and resources they need to be their best selves. He says that not only does this approach improve the lives of those around him, but it also results in the best possible performance for the organization.  Brian holds a BS in Management Information Systems from Clarkson University.
