In that role he sets direction and provides overall security leadership for the Medical Center, primarily focused on threat management and HIPAA compliance. Prior to that he held a variety of security roles at New York University including management of their global security operations team, and in the dim and distant passed he worked as a consultant and security professional in both the public and private sector including a 3-year stint with the Physics Department at the UC Santa Barbara.
