Biography
Hello! I am the Library Curriculum and Instruction Developer at St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas, where I develop (as well as teach) programmatic curriculum for information literacy that integrates into the general education curriculum, as well as research- and writing-centric courses. I also teach undergraduate courses at St. Edward's and most recently have taught Education, Capstone, and Honors research courses.
In my previous work as the Digital Literacy Program Coordinator at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, I developed curriculum for and coordinated a micro-credentialing program that is embedded within the library's technology spaces (x-reality and video/audio recording studios; GIS, Digital Design, and Makers spaces).
My educational background in Cognitive Science, Education, and Curriculum/Instruction and the Science of Learning, as well as my past experiences teaching in the K-12 environment, enable me to apply a deep understanding of how people learn in the development of instruction and in my teaching.
