Biography

Camila Parris is the Product and Portfolio Senior Manager for Professional Learning and Development (PLD) at EDUCAUSE. With over 16 years of experience in the hospitality and event industry and a strong background in systems thinking, project management, customer support, and data-informed decision-making, Camila brings a strategic and operational mindset to her work in professional learning.

In her current role, Camila leads the full project delivery lifecycle for a diverse portfolio of professional learning programs and products. She ensures that EDUCAUSE’s PLD offerings align with organizational goals, advance the association’s mission, and deliver high-impact value to its members. Her work integrates financial oversight, KPI tracking, and cross-functional coordination to drive operational excellence and sustainable program growth.

Camila plays a central role in optimizing resource allocation and improving workflow efficiency across teams. She oversees a broad range of PLD initiatives, including online institutes, microcredentialing, and the EDUCAUSE Professional Pathways, managing end-to-end processes from event planning and registration to program evaluation and continuous improvement. She also leads capacity planning and supports staff and contractors, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery of learning experiences.

Her collaborative approach has strengthened EDUCAUSE’s internal systems and external engagement, as she works closely with teams across Marketing, IT, Membership, Corporate Relations, and beyond. Camila manages the microcredentialing portfolio, tracks key performance indicators, monitors budget performance, and contributes to data governance—ensuring that all efforts are strategically aligned and effectively executed.

Known for her ability to connect big-picture strategy with practical implementation, Camila is passionate about advancing professional learning opportunities that empower the higher education IT community and support members’ career growth.
