Candice Solomon-Strutz

Biography

Collaborator, educator, and innovator. Her interests are promoting a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and innovation in higher education across functional areas. At the University of Illinois, she serves as the professional co-chair for the Black Faculty and Professionals Alliance, a Racial Justice Ally facilitator and on the leadership team for the Women in Technology group.

Candice has nearly twenty years of experience in various technology roles ranging from workstation support and server administration to leading shared governance efforts and IT project management. More than ten years of experience in developing curriculum and/or training materials and providing instruction in higher education across multiple locations in person and using learning management systems. Dynamic public speaker and engaging facilitator who excels in emotional intelligence.

Currently, Candice is the  Director of IT Services at the College of Applied Health Sciences, and provides leadership and oversight for the information technology services.
