Biography

Bobby Clark (aka Carl Robert Clark) has more than 40 years of IT Support and Management experience, and is currently the Director of IT Solutions and Vendor Management in CCIT's Internal Operations group, including leading Clemson's IT Vendor Management Process. 

Before this position (2011-2017), Bobby was the Strategic Planning Manager and reviewed the Campus-wide Process for Campus Licensing. Previously (2009-2011), Bobby was the Distributed Services Manager, which included Desktop Support for Academic and Administrative groups.

He was also the lead coordinator for the Technical Support Provider (TSP) groups, which met periodically to discuss campuswide network issues for local administrators and support providers (1999-2011). TSP also provides technical training and support to 300 IT Support members across campus. From 2007 to 2009, Bobby served as Customer Support Services Manager, including Admin & College Support, Help Desk, and Application Admin for Campus Messaging Services. 

Bobby is a Clemson University graduate with a B.S. in Computer Science with an emphasis in hardware design. Bobby Clark has worked at Clemson since 1986. He is also Chair of the Internet2 NET+ BLAP (Business Legal, Procurement) Advisory Group since 2019.
