Biography
Since 2000 Carlos Seligo has been an Academic Technology Specialist in Freshman and Sophomore Programs at Stanford University. He supports technical and pedagogical innovation among the faculty teaching Introductory Seminars with an emphasis on media, producing everything from custom 3D animation for geologists to workshops for students on how to make and edit a quick audio documentary. In the late 90s Carlos also taught at Stanford in the Introduction to Humanities Program and he received his PhD in English Literature from the University of Washington in 1996. His dissertation was on the origins of Science Fiction in the 18th century, and he continues to be interested in antique futures and fantasies about technology.EDUCAUSE Presentations
