Biography
I am an associate professor in the Centre for Nursing and Health Studies, in the Faculty of Health Disciplines at Athabasca University in Canada. I have taught in the online graduate programs, Masters of Health Studies and Masters of Nursing for 12 years. Prior to that I taught for many years in bricks and mortar institutions. Over this past twelve years I have been experimenting with course design, student interaction and specific online tools such as Wiki, Marginalia and videos, as well as developing teaching strategies for paced online delivery, such as debate. I am heavily involved in research with mobile phones in clinical education.EDUCAUSE Presentations
