Carrie Kruse

Biography

Carrie Kruse is the Director of College Library, User Experience and Library Spaces at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. College Library serves as the primary library for first- and second-year students and specializes in providing information services to those who are new to academic research. The library is a heavily used, dynamic environment that supports both the academic and recreational interests of students and includes a café, innovative digital-media and active learning classroom spaces, a large computer lab and 24-hour service five nights a week during the regular semester sessions. In addition to College Library projects, Carrie serves as an administrative liaison to campus projects in learning spaces, copyright, electronic reserves and the delivery of instructional library resources to students for coursework. She is also active in the Association of College & Research Libraries (ACRL). Carrie received her MLS from UW-Madison and a BA in English from Earlham College.
