Ceren is an Assistant Professor of Instructional Technology in the Department of Leadership, Technology, and Human Development at Georgia Southern University. She received her Ph.D. in 2020 in the Learning, Design, and Technology program at the University of Georgia (UGA). She currently teaches undergraduate and graduate instructional technology and computer science education courses (CS) in online settings and designs computational thinking (CT)-integrated STEM and non-STEM online learning modules. Prior to her current role, she worked as a K-12 curriculum developer and educational game designer. During her postdoctoral studies at Michigan State University (MSU), she worked closely with the teacher education faculty, delivering online professional development on how CT could be introduced within teacher preparation coursework.
Integrating AI into higher education is not a futuristic vision but an inevitability. Colleges and universities must adapt and prepare students, faculty, and staff for their AI-infused futures.
