Biography

Charmagne Campbell-Patton is the Director of Organizational Learning and Evaluation at Utilization-Focused Evaluation. In this role, Charmagne supports organizations working for social justice by embedding evaluative thinking across programs and operations. She brings nearly two decades of program design, implementation and evaluation experience to this work from across a range of fields, including youth civic engagement, education, environmental justice, youth homelessness and philanthropy. She specializes in qualitative research methods and utilization-focused developmental evaluation. She holds a BA in Political Science from Grinnell College and an MA in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from American University’s School of International Service. She is co-author with Michael of the 5th edition of Utilization-Focused Evaluation and has authored several articles and blog posts on evaluation. While she identifies as a global citizen, Charmagne has planted her roots in Minneapolis, MN with her husband, two children, cat and dog.
