Cherry Delaney


As the Security and Awareness Outreach Coordinator for the Networks and Security group in the central Information Technology department at Purdue, Cherry is responsible for the group's information security training and awareness programs. Cherry's expertise in instructional design and program development has lead to the creation of Purdue's series of security awareness events held each October for Cybersecurity Awareness Month. She is the editor of a quarterly security newsletter.

Cherry graduated from Purdue University in 1974 with a BS, and an MS from Purdue in 1993 in Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development. Cherry is a member of the EDUCAUSE Security Awareness and Student Video Contest committees and has held leadership positions in a number of community organizations.
Cherry presents at National conferences about creating and implementing security awareness programs.
