Cheryl Murphy

Biography

Dr. Cheryl Murphy currently serves the Vice Provost of Distance Education for the University of Arkansas.  She has also been in the role of Department Head of Curriculum and Instruction, overseeing 9 different content areas that provide 30+ degrees and certificates, Director of Distance Education for the College of Education and Health Professions, and Program Coordinator of the Educational Technology graduate program at the University of Arkansas. She also served as Co-Director of the Teaching and Faculty Support Center, and has been nationally recognized for her online work including awards from USDLA and Bb. She is also a Team Chair for the Higher Learning Commission and currently serves on the IAC committee.  Her areas of expertise involve multiple facets of distance learning including strategic planning, accreditation, design of online learning, assessment, and faculty development.
