Chris Elarde

Biography

Chris Elarde serves as the Assistant Vice President of Information Technology and Deputy CIO at Pace University. In this role, he oversees $15mm of operating and capital budgets, contract negotiation, project management, communications, and Document Services for Pace's Information Technology Services Division. Additionally, he leads the development of policy and strategic and tactical plans, and supervises all contract and major acquisitions of hardware, software, and services. He has chaired and/or served on various university wide committees, including one that completed a 360-degree assessment of the university's information technology division. Chris assisted in implementing a Student Technology Fee at Pace University, which is governed by a committee of students and instructional technology staff that oversees approximately $1.8mm of technology upgrades and improvements each year. Chris holds a Master of Science Degree in Information Systems and Bachelor of Business Administration in Management both from Pace University. He is a former Project Management Professional and has attended the EDUCAUSE Institute Leadership Program.
