Chris Lucas

Biography

Christopher L. Lucas serves as the senior director of Enterprise Service Management at The Pennsylvania State University. In this role, he leads Business Relationship Managers, Organizational Change Managers, Business Analysts, the Service Management Office, Enterprise Service Desk, and Operations Center.  

Committed to the overall development and growth of IT at Penn State, Lucas has served on several University-wide committees that have focused on Penn State’s teaching and learning with technology strategies, IT strategic planning, IT Service Management, IT Effectiveness, talent management, and performance management.

Lucas has spoken at several conferences including the EDUCAUSE Face-to-Face meeting, the EDUCAUSE Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference, the The New Media Consortium (NMC) Summer Conference, the Special Interest Group on University and College Computing Services (SIGUCCS) annual conference, and the Lynda.com Learning Summit by LinkedIn.

He is a graduate of the EDUCAUSE Institute Learning Technology Leadership Program and the The Leading Change Institute. He has completed the IT Leadership Program (ITLP) by MOR Associates. Lucas holds the Business Relationship Management Professional (BRMP) certification and is a Certified Business Relationship Manager (CBRM). He also holds certifications in ITIL Foundations, ITIL Strategy and Prosci’s Change Management Methodology. Lucas earned a Master of Education in Instructional Systems from The Pennsylvania State University and a Bachelor of Science from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Communications Media.

Lucas is a member of several professional organizations including the Change Management Institute, The Association of Change Management Professionals, the Business Relationship Management (BRM) Institute, and the Association for Talent Development (ATD). He currently serves as the BRM Council Chair and as a Board of Director for the BRM Institute.
