Christine Deacons

Biography

As Director of Academic Support Programs, I have worked to develop a diverse team of exceptional individuals to facilitate programs and services on campus. We utilize technology in innovative ways to support students and expand services including the adoption of a smartphone app that has provided a platform for students to engage with one another virtually while allowing administrative units to easily and accurately track attendance at events and services with real time feedback for program assessment and improvement.

Continuing to grow in this field, I have presented at numerous conferences and workshops. By networking and sharing with our peers, students win. I am passionate about supporting students both in and out of the classroom to ensure on time graduation. I am also passionate about the quality of the services we provide - students have high expectations and we must strive to exceed those expectations every day. In April 2017, I was awarded a Distinguished Achievement Recognition Award for Student Engagement and Success.
