Biography
Chris Schafer joined the Vogel Library faculty as College Librarian in June 2009. Prior to her position at Wartburg College she was the Director of Libraries and the Pipestone campus CEO at Minnesota West Community and Technical College, an instruction librarian at Honolulu Community College, and a reference/acquisitions librarian in the Business, Humanities, and Social Sciences department at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
She earned her Doctorate in Leadership from the University of St. Thomas in 2012, where the focus of her dissertation was the experiences of students and faculty at a two-year college migrating from face-to-face learning to an online environment. She also completed a certificate in international leadership through the University of St. Thomas primarily focusing on the development of global South countries.
