Chris Tyler

Biography

Christine Tyler is responsible for organizational effectiveness and communications for the central Information Technology department at Purdue University (ITaP). She joined Purdue in April 2005 as an internal organizational effectiveness consultant providing strategic direction, focus, programs, processes and tools to facilitate organizational development within ITaP. In January 2006 she assumed the additional role of management of the ITaP communications work groups responsible for print and electronic publications, web site development, and video and multimedia production services (in-studio and onsite video production as well as distance learning facilities and support). Chris's background prior to Purdue was in corporate America with national and international organizations in banking and the travel industry. After 23 years as a people and project manager on the business side of organizations, Chris transitioned to a strategic human resource role utilizing her experiences to bridge understanding and facilitate change designed to strategically move organizations toward a high performance culture. Chris holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation awarded by the HR Certification Institute and is a graduate of SUNY at Oswego with a BS in Elementary Education.
