Christopher Francique

Biography

Christopher is a multi-disciplinary individual whose expertise spans two disciplines: economics & educational technology. His experience spans: teaching in higher education, academic administration & leadershiptechnical development and economic research.

Regarding teaching, Mr. Francique has been teaching in academia for the past 13+ years, firstly in the discipline of economics and then progressing into educational technology. His teaching delivery mode has encompassed face-to-face, blended and fully online, using Learning Management Systems such as Moodle, Canvas and Schoology.  

As it pertains to Academic Administration, within a three year time period, Mr Francique held the role of Department Chair for two distinct Departments at the University of the Southern Caribbean (Dept of Accounting, Finance & Economics, and Distance Education) and at one instance, held the role of "acting" Dean in Distance Education for a duration of 8 months.

As a trained educational technologist with experience in Instructional Design and eLearning, Mr. Francique has shifted from full-time academia to now adjunct teaching, while currently functioning as the Lead (Manager), Instructional Support & Course Re-Design at the University of Trinidad & Tobago, where he leads and manages a team of technologists and instructional designers.

His areas of expertise and interest are: eLearning, Multimedia Learning, Adaptive Learning, Instructional Design, Instructional Technologies, Multimedia Content Creation, Digital Competence in Education and Sustainable Economic Development.
