Chris Johnson

Biography

Johnson is an Assistant Professor Emeritus in th College of Applied Science and Technology  at the University of Arizona. From 2010 to 2021 He was an Assistant Professor of Educational Technology and retired in 2021. From 2005 - 2010, he was the President of the 21st Century Learning Group and an Adjunct Assistant Professor. Prior to 2005 he served as a Senior Consultant in the Learning Technologies Center. While facilitating the Consulting and Enrichment Activities group, his primary focus was to assist faculty in exploring and implementing new teaching methodologies that are supported by technology. He has also served as the Director of Humanities Computing and Technology and then the Director of the Digital Media Resource Center in the Integrated Learning Center.  He serves on a variety of technology committees and has shared his knowledge and expertise at a number of conferences. While Dr. Johnson would much prefer spending time on or under water, when he is on land he rejuvenates himself with the beauty of the Sonoran desert by hiking and biking.
