Christopher Pena

Biography

Christopher Pena is the Director of Data Management in the Office of Institutional Research & Analysis at the University of Denver. He oversees central institutional research operations at the university and manages the research analyst team in his office, which is responsible for reporting and analysis for academic administration.

With the assistant provost for institutional research & analysis, Christopher encourages a culture of data literacy at DU and works with campus partners to maintain the accuracy, consistency, and utility of institutional data. He is an active member of the Association for Institutional Research (AIR) and regularly presents on visualization and data management.

Christopher is also a fourth year PhD student in the Research Methods & Statistics program, with an emphasis on quantitative research methods. His current research interests include data strategy and critical race theory in higher education.
