Claude Martel

Biography

Claude holds a Ph. D. in Educational Technology and has over 30 years experience in the field of education, training, communication, media production, public relations and in the implementation of cutting edge technology. He was also a Professor in department of Educational Technology  and Communication of Concordia University for over two decades.  

He is currently the Director of the teaching and leaning center (centre de pédagogie universitaire) of Université de Montréal where he lead the academic renewal of the institution. Claude was also the Director of the Institute of Cooperative Education of Concordia University where he manage multiple "Experiential Learning" programs including the Co-op, INEX and multiple relationship with the industry and governments. 

Claude has also held senior management roles (Director, VP and Chief Learning Officer)  in large organizations like BigKnowledge, Telus, Hydro-Québec and Pratt & Whitney Canada.  He was the Programme Manager with ICAO's (www.icao.org) and ACI's (Airport Council international / www.aci.aero) where he developed and managed the first global accreditation management program for airport managers (www.iap.aero).

In addition, he has managed more than one hundred multimedia and training/education  projects and has implemented communication and training technologies solutions in over thirty large organizations.
