Clint Davies

Biography

Clint Davies is a Principal and the leader of BerryDunn's Management and Information Technology Consulting Group. He earned his Master'™s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Maine at Orono and is a Certified Computing Professional (CCP), a designation of the Institute for Certification of Computer Professionals. Prior to joining BerryDunn in 1986, Clint worked for a computer systems vendor and as a consultant with KPMG Peat Marwick. EXPERIENCE Clint has extensive experience working with clients to evaluate their use of information systems, streamline processes, develop management skills, and plan for future technology acquisitions, infrastructure, and resource needs. Clients include numerous private and public universities and community colleges. For example, Clint recently guided the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and Colorado Mountain College through the process of strategic technology planning. A central part of these projects involved looking at the institutions'™ IT resources, working with stakeholders, guiding governance processes, and defining organizational needs in order to achieve the strategic vision. These projects also helped to identify opportunities across the campus to achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness through the use of technology. Clint regularly works with IT leaders to evaluate organizational structure, staffing, business processes, and service delivery. He has experience with various funding models to support the delivery of IT services, and has advised IT organizational planning for the University of New Hampshire, the University of St. Joseph™, and Northwest Florida State College, among others. Other projects have entailed assisting clients with evaluating academic, learning management, and student administration system needs, including evaluating commercial and open source systems and guiding client teams through the assessment, selection, and decision making process. He also has experience helping clients address and strengthen compliance with effective security and compliance practices. PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS Clint regularly writes articles on project management and technology topics and has been a speaker at EDUCAUSE, NACUBO, EACUBO and ACUTA conferences on topics related to Information Technology in Higher Education.
