Colin Marlaire

Biography

Grant Bio Dr Colin Marlaire is the Associate Vice President for the Center for Innovation in Learning (CIL) at National University. His Department conducts faculty training and support, manages all platforms associated with educational delivery, and oversees both the exploration and institutional adoption of emergent educational technologies and innovative practices. CIL supports several System affiliates including National University, Pre-College Programs, JFK University and others, and therefore designs and supports a spectrum of modalities: online, onsite, hybrid, executive, 1 month, traditional semester, competency-based, etc. He conducts work and research in all elements involved in developing a scalable model for continuous innovation in educational delivery- incentivizing participation and innovation, best practices concerning designing towards modalities, developing actionable analytics, and fostering collaboration. Since arriving at National University in 2005, he was worked both within specific Schools and across the institution to design courses and curriculum specifically suited for each discipline and student need, with an ongoing focus on improving student success. He received his Ph. D. in English from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
