Crista serves as the Chief Information Officer at Mount Saint Mary's University in Los Angeles, through a partnership with Dynamic Campus. She is responsible for managing all aspects of technology on campus.
Previously as the Senior Director of Research and Educational Technology, Crista was responsible for all of Loyola Marymount University's frontline technology support and educational technology strategies, policies, along with oversight of day-to-day operations. Educational Technology consists of 7 distinct but interwoven teams: ITS Service Desk and Field Services, Instructional Technology, Classroom and Creative Services, Research Services and Educational Applications, ITS Training and Communications. Crista has been a faculty member in the School of Education, having earned her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Administration, and is a frequent presenter at conferences. Crista was a co-founder of EduSoCal, a regional educational technology conference, and a past chair of the event.
IT departments need to develop a relationship of open communication and trust with faculty to achieve the level of collaboration needed for successful integration of academic technology on campus.
