Cristi Ford


Dr. Cristi D. Ford is a Assistant Professor in the Center for Academic Technology at the University of the District of Columbia. She serves as the faculty lead for professional development in teaching and learning related to online education. She also teaches course in Psychology and Education online. Dr. Ford earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Hampton University and a PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She has severed in several capacities in the realm on online education and understands the complexities and depths of online learning. In her previous role, she served as Director of Distance Education at Hampton University where she oversaw the administration of 22 online programs and certificates. She had been selected by the Sloan Consortium, the leader in online learning, as a 2012 participant in the Institute of Emerging Leaders in Online Learning.
