Curtis White

Biography

Curtis White joined St. Mary's University (San Antonio, TX) in May, 2014 as the Vice President of Information Services. Prior to this he was the Vice President of Information Technology at Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio (2003-2014). He was the Executive Director of Information Technology at Edison State College in Fort Myers, Florida (2001-2003) working for Collegis, Inc. (now part of Ellucian, Inc.). He was employed at University of Maryland University College (1993-2001) where he held positions in systems management, training and development and served as the acting CIO (1999-2001). He has served in the U.S. Navy for eight years (1985-2003) as a Cryptologist, intelligence specialist, and a fusion data analyst with service in Maine, Guam, the British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT) and finally at Space Warfare Systems Command in Washington, DC. Mr. White initiated several information technology initiatives and enacted organizational improvements at all institutions where he has worked.  He has been a member and valuable contributor to the President's Executive Leadership Team (Cabinet) and reports directly to the president of the University. Mr. White holds an A.A.S in Criminal Justice, B.S. in Business and Administration and a M.A. in Computer Systems Management (focus on Human Resource Management). He has completed all course work for an Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership (ABD).
