Cindy’s work explores issues of learning, at a variety of levels within higher education, from designing learning, assessment of learning, credentials awarded for learning, to how institutions measure and present their performance to stakeholders and external audiences.
As DCAL’s postdoctoral fellow for assessment and evaluation, Cindy works on the assessment and evaluation of several campus initiatives. She works with individuals from DCAL, the Office of Institutional Research, Educational Technologies, and student affairs to conduct research and evaluate new learning initiatives undertaken by the College, such as the Gateway Program and the DartmouthX Initiative.
She has published in higher education outlets, including among others the Journal of Effective Teaching Strategies, Assessment Update, and the National Institute for Learning Outcomes Assessment. She has published locally, regionally, nationally, and recently internationally at the European Association for Institutional Research (EAIR).
