Scott Brandt


D. Scott Brandt is associate dean for research, professor of library science, and acting director of the Distributed Data Curation Center in the Purdue University Libraries. He interfaces with research administration at Purdue, is responsible for overseeing data services, and helps guide research in library science, including interdisciplinary collaborations and extramural funding. Scott received his BA degree in English literature and his MLIS from Indiana University. He worked previously as associate head in the MIT Libraries, and is author of two books: Teaching Technology and Unix in Libraries.
