Biography
Dan is the Identity Management Architect and team lead for Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He is responsible for the overall design and implementation of the Cal Poly identity management infrastructure, and has been instrumental in the creation of middleware strategies and promulgation of best practices for Cal Poly. He is also an active participant in developing policies and best practices in cooperation with the Chief Information Officer and Information Security Program. Dan was a participant in the California State University Directory Working Group which created the calstateEduPerson specification and is now an active member of the team developing the CSU system-wide Secure Identity Management Infrastructure (SIMI). Among other current projects, Dan is key in the development of a remote support model for directory and authentication services under a California State University NSF/Educause Extending The Reach grant.
