
Dan Stones
Biography
Dan is based in Denver, Colorado as the Chief Community Officer for Coalesced Events. He has more than 15 years of experience in the education and non-profit association sectors with extensive experience in every aspect of meetings management as a planner, AV technician, venue and vendor contract negotiator, 3rd party service provider, consultant, and special projects manager.
Dan is the Director of Programs for the PCMA Rocky Mountain Chapter and sits on the Visit Houston Customer Advisory and Innovation Board, as well as the Explore St. Louis National Customer Advisory Board. He has also volunteered for many industry roles, including Co-President of Ignite Denver and PCMA’s 2018 EduCon Content Committee.
Prior to co-founding Coalesced Events, Dan was a Senior Meeting Planner for EDUCAUSE, an Institute Coordinator and Contract Specialist for Solution Tree, negotiating hundreds of venue contracts as well as planning many meetings. Before joining Solution Tree, Dan also spent time as an Undergraduate Admissions Counselor and a campus Audio/Video Technician for the University of North Texas, where he earned both a BA in Communication Studies and a BA in Spanish.
