Daniel Bruhn

Biography

Daniel Bruhn serves as the Assistant Vice Chancellor of IT Client Services at Purdue University Northwest (PNW). In this role, Bruhn provides leadership and direction for customer-interfacing IT services across the institution. These services include helpdesk, classroom technology, desktop field operations, endpoint administration, and a plethora of leveraged services. During his time at PNW, these teams have introduced a new active learning classroom model, secure print release, collaboration "nooks," new web-conferencing tools in use by faculty, staff and students, and managed the AV design and implementation in a new, cutting-edge BioSciences building. These teams also play an integral role in major campus events, include the Sanai Forum, summer camps, Winter and Spring commencement ceremonies, and new student orientations.

Serving on multiple committees and campus organizations, Bruhn represents PNW IT interests and ensures that institutional needs are addressed in partnership with technology. He also works closely with system-wide business and academic partners, ensuring that the strategic goals of Purdue University are being met on the Northwest campus. 

Bruhn has more than 20 years of experience in higher education information technology, spending much of that time developing highly-successful and oft-recognized endpoint management and end-user support teams. He also serves as a Peer Cybersecurity Assessor for the REN-ISAC, objectively evaluating an institution's current security measures and assisting them in prioritizing actions for scalable, continuous process improvement.

With a focus on leadership, team-building, and organizational excellence, Bruhn is a Certified ScrumMaster, ITIL v4 (Foundations & DPI) certified, and has completed the Leadership Northwest Indiana program.  He is an Indiana certified Firefighter and EMT, serving as a volunteer firefighter in his hometown for many years and serving on the department's board of directors.
