Biography
Dan Gilbert is a Special Assistant to the Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO) and the founder of Learning Innovations Inc. He works with organizations around the world to design new learning experiences and the spaces to support them. At UNO, he works with faculty to develop pilot programs that add value for learners, educators, and the community as the institution navigates our era of rapid change. He has taught “Envisioning the Future of Learning†and “Designing Learning Spaces†at the Stanford School of Education and “The Theory and Practice of Social Media†at Aarhus Univeristy (Denmark). Previously, Dan worked with Stanford University faculty to design, execute, and evaluate innovative learning activities. He has worked with museums, worked for high-tech start-ups and taught English in the United States and Japan. Dan holds a Master’s Degree in Learning, Design and Technology from Stanford.
