Daniel Donnelly

Biography

Daniel Donnelly is the manager and coordinator of Copyright Information and Education (http://www.lib.umn.edu/copyright/) at the University of Minnesota Libraries. He is a frequent presenter on copyright and fair use at local, regional, and national library conferences. In 1994 Mr. Donnelly developed a fair use information program for the University‘s Digital Media Center (DMC) (http://dmc.umn.edu) and since then has worked with DMC staff providing training and consultation services. Mr. Donnelly has been a member of the University Libraries staff since 1973 when he was an assistant to the director of the Learning Resources Center (LRC), the library’s audiovisual collection and services unit. In 1983 he became manager at LRC and remained in that position until 2004 when he accepted his current appointment and charge to establish coordinated copyright consultation services on the Twin Cities Campus of the University of Minnesota.
