Dan Cohen-Vogel

Biography

Building on two decades of decision support and public service, Dan Cohen-Vogel founded DataWorks Partners to help organizations strengthen their strategic and operational decision making through improved data and analytics capabilities.

Coming to higher education from a policy and program evaluation background, he also served in roles of Staff Economist and Principal Analyst in Tennessee’s Offices of Research and Education Accountability and as Senior Analyst with the Florida Legislature’s Office of Program Policy Analysis and Government Accountability.

Dan earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and master’s and doctoral degrees in an applied economics program from the University of California, Berkeley. He has taught classes at UC Berkeley, Vanderbilt University, and Florida State University. In addition, his earlier consulting included K12 education litigation support, process improvement for corporate data and analytics operations, and curriculum development for the UN Development Programme.
