Biography
Dan Gjelten is Associate Vice Provost for Libraries at the University of St. Thomas, the largest private university in Minnesota. Much of his focus in recent years has been on the development of effective support for teaching, learning and research in a technology rich and information rich environment, as well as rethinking the roles and responsibilities of academic librarians and the library's physical space. Dan is a 2002 Fellow of the Frye Institute. He has an MA in Library Science from the University of Minnesota and an MA in English from the University of St. Thomas. He was named the Minnesota Academic Librarian of the Year in 2007.
