Biography

I have a twenty year corporate background rooted in organizational management, analysis, methods and procedures, management information systems, program development and administration. My strengths are in business and systems analysis. Specific skills includes the ability to develop business and information systems, analyzed existing manual work procedures and automated information systems; simplified work flows by developing work standards to meet optimum productivity. Determined information needed to meet reporting requirements of regulatory agencies and conducted audits of implemented systems to determine effectiveness of system design. My doctorate is in Policy Analysis and Management from Cornell University. I am a social research methodologist, who specializes in program evaluation and the design of programs that address social issues. I prefer mixed methods and use concept mapping as one of my analysis tools. This is not the tradition concept or mind mapping processes. The concept mapping I use combines group processing (brainstorming, unstructured sorting and rating of the brainstormed items) with several multivariate statistical analyses (multidimensional scaling and hierarchical cluster analysis). My field is interdisciplinary; two areas of interest are healthcare and business.
