Biography

David Ebert has worked with education and research institutions since the year 2000; currently working for Oracle’s Public Sector, Education, Healthcare - Industry Strategy Group, as Director for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region.

Ebert is responsible for providing industry perspective, to ensure Oracle understands these industries, understands the challenges and opportunities, and has the right solutions and strategy. He covers all solutions – applications and technology - and is the group’s global lead for the research industry.

Prior to joining Oracle, Ebert worked at one of the world's leading research intensive universities - Imperial College London - for nearly 10 years. He worked in the central IT department delivering programmes and projects related to student and research information management systems and processes. Before Imperial, Ebert spent the first part of his career working for Oracle as a functional implementation consultant, with a core focus on implementing finance and student management systems.
