Biography

David HouleDavid Houle is a Senior Manager in BerryDunn’s Higher Education Management and IT consulting practice. He has 20+ years of experience conducting organizational and process improvement, IT assessments and strategic planning, IT risk assessments, infrastructure planning, and enterprise system evaluation and selection. He has worked with private schools with enrollments of under 500 and statewide systems with enrollments of 200,000 plus students.

David regularly works with colleges and universities to evaluate ERP and other enterprise systems, including needs assessments, readiness assessments, and the replacement of systems, as appropriate. He has demonstrated experience leading large
projects and bridging the gap between technical and business stakeholders.
His work has entailed evaluating alternative approaches in an objective, unbiased, and critical manner. Each approach has been evaluated on its underlying technology, architecture, adherence to relevant standards, experience, operational, and business merits. He has presented alternatives and recommended strategies in a thorough and comprehensive style and in light of the institution’s or system’s mission and operating vision.

David recently completed a client engagement which included an ERP needs assessment, business process mapping and analysis, feasibility study of several viable commercial ERP vendors, development technical and functional requirements, developing an RFP for a new ERP solution, facilitating the vendor selection process, system selection, contract negotiation, and implementation assistance.

David is a Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner, a Certified Process Professional (CPP), and is certified in COBIT 5 Foundation and ITIL Foundation in IT Service Management.
