EDUCAUSE members identify the fifteen most significant moments in higher education IT over the last twenty years.
David Smallen is the Vice President for Libraries and Information Technology, emeritus, at Hamilton College, having led an organization that created and supported information and technology environments that ensured the success of students, faculty and staff. More generally, he is interested in creating high-performing organizations, effective teamwork and leadership issues in higher education. He served on the boards of CAUSE, EDUCOM, Educause, directed the Educause Leadership Institute, co-created and led the Hawkins Leadership Roundtable and the Hamilton Management Roundtable. In 2000, he was recognized with the Educause Award for Leadership in the Profession.
