David Parker


David Parker grew up in the Dallas, TX area, where he graduated from South Garland High School, as well as worked as a real estate agent, teacher, and lab coordinator. He receive his BS and MS from East Texas State University [now Texas A&M - Commerce] and has spent almost 35 years as an educator in Computers, Math, Education, and Business at institutions across the United States and has also taught for 3 years in the Orient. His areas of research are currently in distance education, networking, virtual machines, and computer security. His most recent achievements include membership on the INSINCT2 Informatics program grant application and implmentation committee, where he serves as a content expert, curriculum development, and faculty member; Curriculum Committee [2nd year]; and Business and Computer Information Systems Division Academic Advisor [2nd year].
