David John

Biography

David John joined the RTS staff in 2007 and now serves as the Executive Director for the RTS Distance Education Department. Mr. John works directly with campus presidents, academic deans, faculty, and staff to incorporate and utilize instructional technology in support of the distance education initiatives of the seminary. These initiatives include both residential and non-residential students of RTS. Before coming to RTS DE, Mr. John worked for eight years at Florida Atlantic University as the Associate Director of Learning Resources. His work at the university included the production of synchronous and asynchronous e-learning content for a variety of colleges and departments throughout the FAU system. In addition to his work in distance education, David has worked in television broadcasting and production for over 20 years and has an extensive background in videoconferencing, web-conferencing, streaming platforms, smart classroom design and integration, as well as a variety of multimedia platforms and course delivery systems for education. David is a veteran of the U.S. Army and holds an M.A. (Theological Studies) from Reformed Theological Seminary as well as a B.S. (General Communications) from Florida State University.
