Biography
Dave Stinnett manages the Campus Information Systems team at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where his team architects, builds and supports self service web applications using Microsoft development tools, servers and related technologies as well as servers from IBM and Oracle to name just a few. With over 70 production systems implemented and more in development, the work of Dave's team impacts most all departments and patrons at UTK. Dave has a BS in Management, an AS in Computer Technology and hopes to have an MBA in the next few years. Dave retired after 23 years in the Army National Guard where he served as both an enlisted soldier and as an officer. Dave has been with UTK for about 13 years and has also worked in publishing/media, environmental engineering, federal government contracting and manufacturing sectors. Recent projects include Early Alert, a totally web based student retention tool that automates gathering of early assessment data from instructors in time for faciliating organizations/advisors to provide resources/training to boost new student success rates, Online Orientation Signup, Online Advising Assessments, Student Assessment of Instructional Systems, and various e-business applications to name just a few.
