David Tatem

Biography

Dave Tatem is an Instructional Technologist at Trinity College working with faculty and students in their use of technology in the support of teaching, learning and research. His areas of focus include the use and applications of GIS and mapping and data visualization. He is responsible for maintaining the colleges WordPress network of over 700 sites and over 2000 users. Recently he has been focusing on emerging technologies including 3D printing, virtual reality and drones. He has recently obtained his FAA Remote Pilot’s License and has been coordinating efforts to create a campus drone policy, advising a student drone club and developing a curriculum for courses utilizing drones for mapping and cinematography.

He is deeply involved in the Trinity College campus community including serving on various committees including the Exempt Staff Council, Community Learning Advisory Board and The Center for Urban and Global Studies Advisory Committee.
