Biography
David Turner is the Assistant Director for IT Strategy & Planning in the Portfolio Management Group of ITS at UCSC. The Portfolio Management Group oversees program and project management for the newly formed division of Information Technology Services, which has centralized IT support services from all sectors of the campus into a unified organization. The Assistant Director is involved with divisional assessment, the governance process, and long-term strategy and planning. Key projects include: engineering and implementing processes for assessing progress for nine units in the division; facilitating the development of a revolving strategic planning process to identify organizational goals, and a roadmap for achieving them; and normalizing a pilot governance process to ensure alignment between divisional resource allocation and campus and divisional goals.
